This is the Earth-1 Laurel Lance, the Earth-2 Laurel Lance appears in the 5th season of the show and plays as an antagonist after the death of Earth-1 Laurel Lance. She appears in some episodes of The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Vixen.
Laurel uses a baton and an updated canary cry device strapped around her neck designed by Cisco Ramon. Sara Lance eventually comes back and becomes the White Canary. Sister of Laurel Lance, Sara Lance played by Caity Lotz is the first person to take on the mantle as Black Canary in the Arrowverse. But I wanna focus on the two Lance sisters and Dinah Drake. There is an organization called “The Canaries.” Some members are Earth-1 and 2 Laurel Lance, Sara Lance, Dinah Drake, Evelyn Sharp, Zoe Ramirez, and Earth-203’s Carolyn Lance. My ultimate biggest problem was how her Canary Cry sounded, I know around the time it’d be hard to make a sound resembling it but this was a ROAR.Īlright, this ones gonna be somewhat confusing, at least to me.
Around the last season of Smallville she grows her short blonde hair out which is nice but it would’ve been better if she had it from the start. In the comics Dinah Lance has short black hair and hides it with a blonde wig, but in later comics they end up just completely giving her blonde hair. One thing I feel like they can never really get right about Dinah in live action is just her appearance and sometimes I like to use this show as an example. I’ve seen a couple clips of Dinah in Smallville and her Canary Cry sounds like a lion or tigers roar. In the show, Lex Luthor hires her to capture Green Arrow but after being convinced Luthor was the villain she soon joins Ollie in the Justice League. Her appearance somewhat seems to resemble her costume in the Birds of Prey comics with the black top and fishnets, one of my problems is that she uses a brunette wig in public to hide her short blonde hair. She is played by Alaina Huffman and appears in seasons 7-10 but only mentioned/appearing in 6 episodes. Dinah in Smallville is a talk-show host for the Daily Planet in Metropolis during the day, but at night she is a vigilante with a metahuman ultrasonic scream.
